WE WILL HAVE STEERS AT OUR SHOWS IN MT. IDA ON MARCH 24. WE ARE HAVING 2 DIFFERENT SHOWS IN ONE DAY AND THEY ARE AJCA SANCTIONED. OUR INFORMATION IS NOW HERE ON THE WEBSITE IF INTERESTED. WE WOULD LOVE TO HAVE YOU THERE.

The new membership form is located on the front page in the center. You just click on the link that says, “AJCA Membership Application 2011-2012″ and it will open for you. Print it and complete it and mail it in with your check. You can also get the membership application on the Information tab. That tab is located on the top of the page and to the right.

I have showed steers many years and they are shown at every show basically they can be commercial or purebred dosent matter.

I am wondering if there are steer shows? I have looked at the 2012 breed list and also looked at the 2011 breed list. Bulls and heifers are there, but I see during the Thankgiving show that 2 steers placed. Steer aren’t on the breed list?? so i’m confused a little bit. Is it only “purebred” steers? No commercial steers?

Sorry to just now be reading your post. AJCA has commercial heifer divisions. English, American and Exotic. AJCA members ages range from birth to age 20. So, yes, your 6 year old can join.

It is always a good idea to keep up with your own points; however, the official points are kept by the points administrator and posted to the website. The points from the Thanksgiving Classic are not posted yet, but I am sure they will follow very soon!

for the awards do we keep up with the points or does the ajca keep up with them.

We are members of the Arkansas Cattleman’s Association in Crawford County and have been wanting to get our now 13and yr old in AJCA but we don’t have registered cattle does that cause a problem? Also our 6 yr old also owns & shows cattle is she to young to be a member?
